Finley- The Fine Wine Canine
2010 – 2019
Meet Finley. A bouncing bundle of furry yellow joy, Finley was our first fur baby, joining the family just one month after we were married in 2010. For the first six years of his life, he was the Chief Canine Officer and Official Greeter at our winery, Canyon Wind Cellars, in Palisade, CO. After selling the winery, we embarked on travels around the country and Finley became our official co-pilot/road trip companion, traveling to 44 states, 20 National Parks, and more tourist traps and kitschy roadside stops that we can count. He was the happiest dog we’ve ever met and had a love for life that was obvious in the nearly 10,000 photos we took of him over the years.
In April 2019, we lost Finley to a rare form of cancer. In a span of less than six weeks, we went from hiking his favorite trail (there was nothing Finley loved more than hiking) to saying goodbye to our very best friend. The end came quickly, and thankfully for Finley, was swift and painless. We are so heartbroken, but incredibly blessed to have had this amazing, larger-than-life creature in our lives and the ability to share with so many his obvious love of life and adventures.
